
The fire broke out at around 5:30am on Thursday (August 27). Local residents initially spotted the flames and attempted to control the fire before informing the Fire Service.
Following the report, three units from Konabari Fire Station and two units from Sarabo Fire Station arrived at the scene and began efforts to extinguish the fire.
Mohammad Saiful Islam, warehouse inspector at Konabari Fire Station, said the fire had not been brought under control as of 9am. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Fire Service personnel are continuing their efforts to contain the blaze. No casualties or details of the extent of the damage had been reported immediately.
