Badrunnesa Women's College Students Use Dhaka College Bus for Study Tour
Sakibul Hasan
Students of Badrunnesa Women’s College recently went on a study tour using a bus belonging to Dhaka College. According to the administration, the bus was provided as a gesture of inter-institutional cooperation, following a temporary suspension of Dhaka College bus services due to a recent clash on campus.
Masud, a student of Dhaka College, commented:
“We have been protesting to ensure the protection of BCS cadre candidates, and as a ‘reward,’ they allowed the bus for one day.”
Dhaka College Principal, Prof. A.K.M. Elias, explained: “Our buses are temporarily off the road because of the recent altercation. When Badrunnesa College requested a bus, we provided one out of courtesy. Government institutions can share transport facilities when needed. We can also use their buses if required. Earlier, we borrowed buses from Eden and Titumir colleges as well.”
The incident sparked widespread debate on social media. Many students expressed frustration, saying: “Our departments make excuses every time we request a study tour. How can another college use our buses while we’re repeatedly denied?
