The information was reported by Reuters on Wednesday (October 14), citing Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry. The ministry said authorities arrived at the scene and took necessary measures shortly after the attack on Tuesday night.
A source at Aramco told Reuters that a ballistic missile struck an office tower within the complex, damaging its top three floors. The source and two other people familiar with the matter said the building was seen on fire.
The Saudi-led military coalition said a missile had been intercepted and destroyed over Dhahran, with debris falling in a residential area.
Meanwhile, Saudi Civil Defence said debris from two intercepted missiles in Riyadh injured four people. The incident also caused minor damage to 15 houses in the capital.
The attacks come amid a renewed escalation of conflict in Yemen, with missiles and drones targeting key Saudi installations. Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport had also come under multiple attacks earlier.
Houthi rebels had previously identified key Saudi installations as potential targets. However, the report did not specify who was responsible for the latest attack in Dhahran.
