Prime Minister Tarique Rahman
has said that the achievements secured on August 5 through the
July movement do not belong to any individual or political party, but are the
result of the collective sacrifices made by the people striving for democracy
in Bangladesh.
Speaking at the July National
Conference held on Saturday at the Bangladesh-China Friendship
Conference Center, the Prime Minister said the government is working
to ensure proper recognition, respect, and rehabilitation for those who were
killed or injured during the July movement.
He emphasized that it is the government's
responsibility to ensure justice and appropriately honor the sacrifices of the
martyrs. At the same time, he stressed that no innocent person should suffer in
the name of justice.
Calling for national unity, Tarique Rahman
said that the country's progress depends on collective efforts rather than
division.
During the event, commemorative awards were
presented to the families of the martyrs. Diplomats from various countries,
senior government officials, and other distinguished guests were also in
attendance.
