Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has begun a bilateral meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur. On Monday morning, upon arriving at the Perdana Putra complex in Putrajaya, he was warmly received by Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Following an official welcome ceremony and a guard of honor, the two leaders held a one-on-one meeting. A high-level bilateral meeting involving delegations from both countries is scheduled to take place afterward.

The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in a range of sectors, including trade and investment, labor market opportunities, energy cooperation, the halal economy, the semiconductor industry, agriculture, education, and people-to-people connectivity.

After the bilateral talks, the two prime ministers are expected to address a joint press conference. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and his delegation will later attend a luncheon hosted at the Malaysian Prime Minister’s official residence.
