Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Iran will be the top agenda item during his upcoming meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. The two leaders are also expected to discuss the security situation in the Middle East and efforts to expand regional peace.

In a video message before departing for Washington, Netanyahu said the current situation requires both determination and wisdom. He added that the meeting would focus on ensuring Israel's security and advancing broader regional stability.

The upcoming talks will mark the eighth meeting between Trump and Netanyahu during Trump's current term and their first face-to-face meeting since February.

The discussions are expected to cover recent tensions between the United States and Iran, the situation in Gaza, and wider regional security issues.

Political analysts say the meeting is also significant for Netanyahu domestically. Ahead of upcoming elections, demonstrating close ties with Trump could strengthen his political standing at a time when his popularity is under pressure.
