Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md. Abdullah Harun visited Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat on Wednesday to inspect ongoing development activities, including a canal re-excavation project and land administration services.

During the visit, he inspected the re-excavation work of the Kathalia Canal in Moghia Union and reviewed the progress and quality of the project. He said that canal re-excavation plays a vital role in increasing agricultural production, reducing waterlogging, and maintaining ecological balance. He instructed the officials concerned to ensure high-quality work so that local residents can benefit from the project in the long run.

The Divisional Commissioner later visited the Kachua Upazila Land Office and the Raripara Union Land Office. He observed mutation services, land record management, official documentation, and the overall land service delivery process.

Addressing the officials and employees, he emphasized the importance of providing transparent, accountable, and people-friendly land services. He instructed them to ensure that citizens receive prompt services without any form of harassment, in line with the government's commitment to improving public service delivery.
