Mohammad Mahinul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sitakunda Model Police Station, has once again been named the best OC among the officers-in-charge of 17 police stations in Chattogram district.

He received the recognition for his professional performance and responsible role in maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and recovering drugs and illegal firearms, among other police activities.

Since taking charge of Sitakunda Model Police Station, OC Mahinul Islam has been actively working to maintain normal law and order and control crime through regular drives, regardless of political affiliation, according to সংশ্লিষ্ট sources.

Under his leadership, police activities have been strengthened against drug trafficking, illegal firearms, terrorism and extortion. Action has also been taken against those involved in drug and gambling operations, while efforts have been intensified to bring individuals involved in various crimes under the law.

He has also placed emphasis on the prompt rescue of missing persons, recovery of looted goods, arrest of warrant-listed accused, supervision of investigations into regular cases, collection of crime-related information and taking immediate police action when necessary.

Relevant officials said the activities of Sitakunda Model Police Station have gained momentum under his leadership due to effective coordination with police personnel in controlling crime.

They further said that alongside taking a firm stance against crime, OC Mahinul Islam has remained active in listening seriously to complaints from members of the public and providing necessary legal assistance. Regular police patrols and drives have also been strengthened under his leadership, contributing to efforts to maintain law and order in the area.

His re-selection as the best OC among the 17 police stations in Chattogram district is being viewed by সংশ্লিষ্ট officials as recognition of his sense of responsibility, leadership and professional performance.
