Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, Iran has launched a missile and drone attack on a U.S. military installation in eastern Saudi Arabia. The strike targeted Prince Sultan Air Base, leaving at least 12 American troops injured, including two in critical condition.

According to U.S. officials cited by international media, the হামলাটি is being seen as a significant setback for American air defense systems in the ongoing conflict. At least two KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft were reportedly severely damaged.

Reports indicate that since the conflict began, Iran has repeatedly targeted U.S. military positions across the region using ballistic missiles and drones. The continued attacks have caused notable damage to several installations, forcing United States Central Command to relocate thousands of troops to safer areas, with some even transferred to Europe.

Meanwhile, another report citing a U.S. official stated that at least one additional military aircraft was hit in the হামলা. Since the outbreak of hostilities, more than 300 U.S. personnel have been injured.

Iran-linked media outlets associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that powerful explosions occurred at the base following the drone strike.

The Saudi Ministry of Defense confirmed that two incoming drones were intercepted and destroyed in the eastern region, which is strategically vital due to its major oil facilities.

Tensions have surged since February 28, when the United States and Israel carried out joint strikes inside Iran. In response, Tehran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a move that has had significant global economic implications.
