On Sunday (December 29), DRU Executive Committee President Abu Saleh Akon and General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel made this call in a statement.
It said that last Friday, the Ministry of Home Affairs, in a press release, had revoked journalists' access to the Secretariat until further notice. DRU fears that restricting journalists' access to the Secretariat, the heart of the administration, will hinder professional journalists' access to information.
DRU leaders have urged the government to quickly ensure that journalists can travel to the Secretariat without hindrance and regularly to perform their professional duties.
