Following the end of the seven-day Eid-ul-Adha holiday, government offices, courts, banks, and financial institutions across Bangladesh resumed normal operations on Monday. Thousands of people have started returning to their workplaces in Dhaka and other major cities.

The Eid holiday, which began on May 25, officially ended on Sunday. After the extended break, regular activities have resumed in government, semi-government, autonomous, and private institutions, bringing back the familiar rhythm of urban life.

With the holidays over, the flow of people returning to the capital from different districts has increased through road, rail, and river transport networks. Since yesterday, large crowds of returning workers and employees have been observed at Kamalapur Railway Station, bus terminals, and launch terminals.

However, attendance at offices may remain somewhat lower at the beginning of the week, as many employees have extended their vacations by taking additional leave. As a result, the festive Eid atmosphere is expected to linger for a few more days.

Officials and observers believe that normal activities will gradually return throughout the week. Full-scale operations and workplace activity are expected to resume across both public and private institutions from next week.
