Journalist
leaders from various national media outlets paid a courtesy visit and held a
discussion meeting with Rumpa Ghosh, the people-friendly Executive Officer
(UNO) of Sirajdikhan Upazila in Munshiganj district.
Among those
present were Salam Mahmud, President of the Television Reporters Unity of
Bangladesh (TRUB); S M Nasir, General Secretary; Hafiz Rahman, Organizing
Secretary; Mohammad Ashraful Alam, Special Correspondent of Daily Bangladesh
Shomachar; crime reporter Ashrafuzzaman Sohag; and Taqi Uddin Muhammad
Akramullah, journalist of the weekly Khojkhobor.
During the
cordial discussion, various issues related to the country’s housing sector,
customer confidence, and development-oriented initiatives were discussed.
Representatives highlighted the ongoing activities, development progress, and
customer service aspects of the Notundhora Housing Project, which were highly
appreciated by the attending journalist leaders.
They stated
that due to its organized planning, legal transparency, and long-term development
vision, Notundhora has already established itself as a trusted name in the
housing sector.
The
journalist leaders also observed that certain unprofessional and motivated
groups are currently attempting to damage the reputation of established companies
by spreading misleading information through social media and various online
platforms. When the need for administrative support to prevent such yellow
journalism and propaganda was raised, Executive Officer Rumpa Ghosh took the
matter seriously and assured legal assistance in accordance with the law.
At the end
of the meeting, the journalists expressed hope that mutual cooperation among
the administration, media, and development-oriented organizations would further
strengthen a positive and responsible social environment.
It is worth
mentioning that the attending journalist leaders are also respected plot
holders of the Notundhora Housing Project.
