The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) observed its 48th founding anniversary in Khulna on Tuesday with various programmes highlighting the party’s long political struggle, sacrifices and achievements.
The anniversary programmes were organized jointly by the Khulna Metropolitan BNP and Khulna District BNP at the Zia Hall premises in the Shibbari area of the city. A large number of party leaders and activists attended the event.
Among those present were Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Haque Milan; Khulna City Corporation Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju; Khulna-3 constituency MP and Whip Alhaj Rakibul Islam Bakul; Khulna-4 constituency MP Azizul Bari Helal; Khulna WASA Chairman Moniruzzaman Moni; Khulna Metropolitan BNP President and KDA Chairman Shafiqul Islam Mona; and Metropolitan BNP General Secretary and Bangladesh Board Director Shafiqul Alam Tuhin.
Leaders and activists from various affiliated and associate organizations of the BNP, including their presidents and general secretaries, also took part in the programmes.
In their speeches, the leaders recalled the BNP’s long political journey, struggles, sacrifices and achievements. They stressed the need to further strengthen the party’s organizational capacity and maintain unity among its leaders and activists.
They also expressed their determination to work together to meet the expectations of the people and strengthen the party’s position through greater organizational solidarity.
The anniversary programmes created a festive atmosphere in the Shibbari area, with party leaders and activists chanting slogans and participating in the celebrations.
