A man identified as Tahurul Islam, 32, was
arrested by police with 168 bottles of Phensedyl during an anti-narcotics
operation in the Uttar Khan area of the capital.
According to police sources, on the night of
June 25 at approximately 11:30 PM, a team from Uttar Khan Police Station
conducted a raid based on confidential information as part of their regular
anti-crime operations under the supervision of Officer-in-Charge (OC) Habibur
Rahman.
During the operation, police raided the
residence of Kamrul Islam in the Taltola area of Uttar Khan and arrested
Tahurul Islam, who is alleged to be involved in drug trafficking. Officers
recovered 168 bottles of Phensedyl from his possession.
Following the arrest, police prepared a
seizure list for the recovered Phensedyl bottles and initiated legal
proceedings against the accused under the relevant narcotics laws.
The suspect has been handed over to the
appropriate authorities, and the case is currently under investigation.
