New Khulna Police Superintendent Sarker Omar Faruk Joins Office

Sarker Omar Faruk, the newly appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) of Khulna district, officially joined the Khulna District Police and assumed charge on August 23, 2026.

Upon his arrival at the Khulna Police Superintendent’s Office to take charge, he was warmly welcomed by members of the district police, who greeted him with flowers.

A smartly turned-out contingent of the district police also accorded him a guard of honour. After receiving the guard of honour, the new SP introduced himself to senior police officials and members of the force from different ranks.

He subsequently took charge as the Superintendent of Police of Khulna district from outgoing SP Mohammad Tajul Islam, BPM-Seva.

Among those present at the occasion were Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operations) Anisuzzaman; Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Abir Siddiqui Shubhra, PPM-Seva; Additional Superintendent of Police (A-Circle) Saiful Islam; Assistant Superintendent of Police (Probationer) Sheikh Alamgir Hossain; Assistant Superintendent of Police (Probationer) Md. Babul Hossain Hawlader; Assistant Superintendent of Police (Probationer) M. M. Tariq-Ullah; Assistant Superintendent of Police (Probationer) Shahedul Islam; and Assistant Superintendent of Police (Probationer) Biplab Kumar Nandi.

Officers-in-Charge of various police stations in Khulna district, in-charges of police outposts and camps, and police officers and personnel of different ranks were also present during the joining and handover ceremony.
