To ensure that no one creates an artificial situation by causing a fertiliser crisis in the market at the time of farmers' needs, BNP Standing Committee member and Dhaka-2 constituency Member of Parliament Aman Ullah Aman has called for strict monitoring of the activities of fertiliser dealers.

He stated that a certain group is attempting to create an artificial fertiliser crisis across the country. It is necessary to regularly monitor where dealers are stockpiling fertiliser, how much fertiliser they are keeping, and to whom they are supplying it.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at the monthly meeting of the law and order committee of Keraniganj Upazila administration on Monday (14 September) afternoon.

Aman Ullah Aman said that not only fertiliser but also the overall situation in the country must be closely observed by the relevant authorities. There is no precedent in the world for fascists who have fled to return. They may try to create sabotage and instability while hiding in various places. Therefore, everyone must remain vigilant on this matter.

Regarding the upcoming Durga Puja, he said that the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community, Durga Puja, is approaching. To ensure that no one can create any untoward incidents to destabilise the law and order situation in the country surrounding this festival, the law enforcement agencies must strengthen their preparations and vigilance in advance.

On the issue of drug eradication, Aman Ullah Aman said that we are following a zero-tolerance policy against drugs. Political leaders and activists are also working to eliminate drugs. However, to stop the spread of drugs in society, law enforcement agencies must work effectively with the utmost importance.
The meeting, chaired by Keraniganj Upazila Executive Officer Md. Omar Faruk, was attended by Assistant Commissioner (Land) of the Revenue Circle Md. Saiful Islam Bhuiyan, Upazila Engineer Golam Sarwar, Acting President of Keraniganj Model Upazila BNP Haji Shamim Hasan, Upazila Agricultural Officer Mahua Sharmin Munmun, Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Karishma Ahmed Karij, Upazila Election Officer Md. Monir Hossain, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Zakir Hossain Mollah, Upazila Rural Development Officer Taibur Rahman, Upazila Youth Development Officer Nurunnahar, and President of the Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee Bedoura Ali Shimul, among other relevant officials. Earlier in the morning, at the meeting of the Law and Order Committee of the Dhaka-3 constituency, the chief guest present was Advocate Nipun Roy Chowdhury, a member of the reserved women's seat in Parliament and the General Secretary of Dhaka District BNP.
