The government has formed a national semiconductor task force to make recommendations on the challenges, prospects and future steps in the semiconductor industry in Bangladesh. The convener of the task force is Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Ashiq Chowdhury.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Office of the Chief Advisor on Wednesday. BIDA gave this information in a press release.
BIDA said that the task force will identify immediate growth opportunities in the semiconductor industry, address policy and skill gaps and propose infrastructure and incentive frameworks to attract global investment. For this, the task force will specifically make recommendations on the challenges, prospects and future steps in the semiconductor sector.
