Head Teachers’ Association in Brahmanpara Led by Mostofa and Mamenul Huq

A new executive committee has been formed for the Head Teachers’ Association (BHTA), an organization comprising all head teachers of Brahmanpara Upazila in Comilla district. The seven-member committee was recently elected during the association’s annual council meeting for a term of three years.

In the newly elected committee, Md. Golam Mostofa, head teacher of Dirghobhumi High School, was elected as president, and Md. Mamenul Huq Bhuiya, head teacher of Shidlai Ashraf Secondary School, was elected as general secretary. The other members of the committee are—Vice Presidents Md. Rafiqul Islam of Shashidal Union High School and Md. Gias Uddin of Bejura High School, Md. Abdul Aziz of Madhabpur High School, Shahin Mahmud, organizational secretary of Malapara High School, and Ali Akhtar Bhuiya, finance secretary.

The decision to form the new committee was made at a local restaurant during the annual council meeting after considering the opinions of the members. Newly elected president Md. Golam Mostofa said, “We will put our utmost effort into the welfare of teachers and initiatives for educational development. By taking on this responsibility, we aim to create more opportunities for the teaching community.”

General Secretary Md. Mamenul Huq Bhuiya said, “Being elected to this position is a matter of pride for us, and we will fulfill our responsibilities properly with the trust and cooperation of everyone. We hope all head teachers will unite with us to make the association’s activities more dynamic and effective.”

The newly formed committee aims to promote teacher welfare, professional development, and strengthen the education system in the Upazila. With the cooperation of all members and the teaching community, the committee plans to undertake various programs in the future.
