The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has
forecast rain and thunderstorms in Dhaka again today, Tuesday. According to a
six-hour forecast issued from 7:00 am, the sky may remain partly cloudy at
different times of the day, with chances of thunderstorms and rain in some
areas.
The weather office said winds may blow from
the south and southeast at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. A slight
drop in daytime temperature has also been forecast.
At 6:00 am today, Dhaka recorded a
temperature of 24.2 degrees Celsius, with humidity at 86 percent. The minimum
temperature recorded today was 23.8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum
temperature in the capital yesterday reached 32.2 degrees Celsius.
Earlier on Monday, the meteorological department had also predicted thunderstorms in Dhaka and nearby areas, warning that temporary gusty winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour could accompany the rainfall.
