Former Chairman Dulal Hossain of Bargaon Union under Sonaimuri Upazila in Noakhali has become a topic of discussion among local residents for his development initiatives and public service, with many expressing interest in seeing him return to a leadership role.

According to local sources, during his tenure as chairman, Dulal Hossain undertook a number of infrastructure development projects, particularly aimed at improving the area's road network. Residents also credited him with playing an active role in resolving local disputes and ensuring effective administrative services.

Locals further said he adopted a firm stance against drug trafficking, terrorism, and eve-teasing, contributing to improvements in law and order across the union.

His involvement in social and religious welfare activities has also been highlighted. Residents noted his support for mosques, madrasas, orphanages, educational institutions, and various community development initiatives.

A section of the union's residents believes that experienced leadership is important for sustaining development. They say that if Dulal Hossain decides to contest the upcoming local government election, his candidacy could significantly influence the local political landscape.

However, no official announcement has yet been made regarding his participation in the forthcoming election.
