Questions have been raised over irregularities involving a student of Dhaka College following the publication of the third-year examination result for the English Department affiliated with the University of Dhaka. The student was reportedly marked as passed in a course he did not sit for, while being failed in another course that the student he actually attended.  The incident has sparked concerns among students regarding the transparency of the result publication and answer script evaluation process.

The student concerned, Ramim Fakir, claims that he was unable to take the course 301: Elizabethan and Jacobean Drama examination due to his illness. Rahim also stated that he did not sign the attendance sheet for that exam. However, the recently published results show that he passed the course with GPA of 2.50.

Speaking about the issue, Ramim said that “I did not take the Couese 301 examination, nor did I sign the attendance sheet. Yet I was shown as having passed that course. Simultaneously, I was marked as failed in the exam that I actually took. The whole matter is extremely mysterious,”

Ramim has demanded a re-evaluation of his result as well as an important investigation into the entire incident.
