Businessman Rezwan Hasan James (35) has been arrested in a case of attempted rape of a 10-year-old girl in Bogura. On Sunday (June 7) evening, locals arrested him from the Sutrapur area of ​​the city and handed him over to the police. Rezwan Hasan James is the son of Md. Shah Alam of the Sutrapur area of ​​the city. He is said to be the joint convener of the Bogura city workers' party. He was sent to jail by the court on Monday (June 8). It is learned that there is a variety store owned by Rezwan Hasan James in front of the Khandar Mission Hospital in the metropolis. Moen Uddin Mollah (58) works as an employee in this store. On Sunday (June 7), at around 2:45 pm, the child went to buy food at the shop. At that time, when no one was around, the shop employee Moen Uddin forcibly took the child inside the shop, closed the door and tried to rape her. When people came to know about the matter, they went there and opened the door, but the accused Moen Uddin fled. The child was later rescued. Although the shop owner James was not at the scene at the time, his shop employee helped Moen Uddin escape. Then people arrested James in the incident and handed him over to the police. In this incident, the child's mother filed a case against Moen Uddin and James at Bogura Sadar Police Station on charges of attempted rape. Bogura Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mahfuz Alam said that James has been arrested on charges of aiding the escape of accused Moen Uddin. He was sent to jail through the court on Monday afternoon. The police operation to arrest accused No. 1 in the case, Moen Uddin, is continuing.
