The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the retail price of a 12-kilogram liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk 223. Under the new decision, the price of a 12kg cylinder has been raised from Tk 1,837 to Tk 2,060.
BERC issued a notification announcing the new price on Monday (November 2) evening. According to the notification, the revised price came into effect at 8:00 pm the same day and will remain in force until further notice.
Earlier, on October 29, BERC’s technical evaluation committee had proposed raising the retail price of a 12kg LPG cylinder from Tk 1,837 to Tk 1,976.
However, in its final decision, the commission set the price of a 12kg cylinder at Tk 2,060.
