Iran and the United States have yet to reach a final agreement on key issues, including the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's nuclear program, and regional security. According to analysts, peace negotiations may gain momentum after the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Former U.S. diplomat Alan Eyre said that while President Donald Trump is keen to keep the Strait of Hormuz open for international shipping, uncertainty continues to surround a potential nuclear agreement. Maritime traffic through the Strait has increased somewhat over the past week but has not yet returned to pre-conflict levels.

Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Bagher Ghalibaf warned that Tehran would respond appropriately if the United States and Israel failed to honor their commitments under any future agreement. At the same time, concerns among U.S. officials over an alleged plot targeting Iran's senior negotiators have added fresh uncertainty to the already fragile diplomatic process.
