Tensions in the Middle East have taken a dramatic turn after the United States launched military strikes on targets inside Iran following allegations that an American Apache helicopter had been brought down in the Strait of Hormuz. The operation began just hours after President Donald Trump issued a stern warning over the incident.

In a statement, the United States Central Command said U.S. forces had initiated attacks on multiple targets across Iran starting Tuesday. According to the military, the strikes were a "proportionate response" to what it described as Iran's "unprovoked aggression."

Following the operation, reports emerged of several explosions in coastal areas along the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. However, U.S. officials have not yet disclosed detailed information regarding the extent of the damage or possible casualties resulting from the strikes.

CENTCOM also stated that the two crew members aboard the downed Apache helicopter were successfully rescued with the assistance of a maritime drone. The announcement marked the first public acknowledgment by the U.S. military of using such drone technology in a rescue mission of this kind.

Earlier, in a post on his social media platform, Donald Trump claimed that an advanced U.S. Apache helicopter had been shot down in the Strait of Hormuz. Although the two pilots were rescued safely, Trump warned that those responsible would face an appropriate response.

According to U.S. officials, the helicopter may have come under attack from an Iranian drone. However, investigators have yet to determine whether the aircraft was deliberately targeted.

Meanwhile, Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency reported that Tehran had not formally accepted responsibility for the alleged downing of the American helicopter.

The announcement of U.S. strikes within hours of the helicopter incident has heightened fears of a broader confrontation between Washington and Tehran. Analysts warn that the latest developments could further destabilize the region and push the Middle East into a new phase of uncertainty.
