Following the vandalism of two college buses, the Dhaka College administration has announced the suspension of all bus services across every route starting tomorrow, December 10. The decision was confirmed in a notice signed by Principal A.K.M. Elias on Tuesday, December 9.

According to the official notice: “Due to an unfortunate incident in which two college buses were vandalized, the operation of all buses on every route will remain suspended until further instructions.”

Tensions erupted on Tuesday morning after the vandalism of two buses named Bijoy 71 and Shankhoneel. Students of Dhaka College and Ideal College engaged in clashes around Green Road and Science Laboratory areas. The situation escalated with chases, counter-chases, and brick-throwing. Police were later deployed in large numbers to bring the situation under control.

Notably, just a month earlier, on November 9, 2025, a peace meeting between Dhaka College and Ideal College was held at the Dhaka College auditorium. In the presence of the principals, teachers, and officials from New Market Police Station, students of both institutions exchanged roses as a symbolic gesture and vowed to avoid future conflicts.
