At least 10 people were killed in a series of
violent incidents across multiple districts in Bangladesh in a night, raising
serious concerns over law and order. The most shocking incident occurred in
Niamatpur Upazila of Naogaon, where four members of the same family were kill.
Police and local sources said cattle trader
Habibur Rahman, his wife, and their two young children were brutally murdered
in Bahadurpur village. The couple were reportedly killed by throat-slitting,
while the children died from head injuries. Investigators also found
threatening messages written on the wall, intensifying suspicions of a
premeditated murder.
Though initially robbery was suspected, investigators are
now focusing on a possible land-related family dispute. Police have taken some into
custody for questioning, and both robbery and personal conflict angles are
being examined.
In Teknaf of Cox's Bazar, three bodies were
recovered from a remote hilly area. Police said the victims bore sharp weapon injuries, and
preliminary findings suggest internal clashes
within kidnapping or human trafficking networks.
Separately, in Kumarkhali of Kushtia, an
elder brother was stabbed to death by his younger sibling, reportedly due to
personal grievances and family disputes.
A similar incident occurred in Daganbhuiyan
of Feni, where a younger brother was killed after being struck with a shovel
during a family altercation. Police have arrested the accused.
In another case, a textile mill supervisor
was hacked to death by criminal in Narsingdi. The attackers reportedly fled after
carrying out the assault on a besides the streets
at night.
Law enforcement agencies said separate
investigations are underway in each case, and efforts are ongoing to bring
those responsible to justice. The violent incidents within such a short span
has sparked concern among the public.
