BSAD Organizes Anti-Drug Seminar and Meritorious Students Felicitation Ceremony 2026

The Brahmanpara Students Association of Dhaka (BSAD) has successfully organized its “Anti-Drug Seminar and Meritorious Students Felicitation Ceremony 2026”, to raise awareness against drug abuse and honor talented students who secured admission to various universities across the country.

 

The event was graced by Hazi Jashim Uddin, MP, Chief Patron of this organisation, as the Chief Guest. Mahmuda Jahan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Brahmanpara, attended the program as a special guest.

 

Among the distinguished attendees were Sarker Zahiru Hoque Mithun, visionary and founder of this organisation of BSAD; Prof. Dr. M. G. Azam of Mugda Medical College; Engr. Ataur Rahman Sarkar Ruzel, Chairman of Muspana Group; Mosharraf Hossain Khan Chowdhury, Founder of Mosharraf College; and Mohsin Kabir Sarkar, Vice President of Brahmanpara Upazila BNP.

 

The program was also attended by BSAD well-wishers, including Haji Amir Hossain, General Secretary of Brahmanpara Upazila BNP; Nazrul Islam, Joint General Secretary; Khalil Uddin, Principal of Nagaish Government College; and Advocate Abdullah Al Mamun.

 

Other notable guests included Md. Alauddin, Member of the Advisory Council and Founding General Secretary of BSAD; Bashirul Islam, Deputy Director of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University; Jasim Uddin Samrat, Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal; Alauddin Mohammad, Joint Member Secretary of the Central Committee of the National Citizen Party (NCP); Advocate Atikur Rahman Khan of the Bangladesh Supreme Court; former BSAD Presidents Zahirul Islam, Zakir Hossain, and Ayub Khan; and former Member Secretary Rezaul Amin Shanto.

 

The event was successfully implemented under the leadership of Arafat Hasan, President of BSAD, and Asaduzzaman Rony, General Secretary of this organization.  

 

In the program, the speakers highlighted the importance of promoting academic excellence and creating social awareness against drug abuse among young people. They expressed optimism that such initiatives, combining merit, awareness, and social responsibility, would inspire future generations to build an enlightened, humane, and drug-free society.
