The agreement between the Election Commission (EC) and the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) on data verification through registration has been cancelled. The agreement was cancelled last Friday (December 20), the EC Secretariat said in a press release on Sunday.
A press release signed by ASM Humayun Kabir, Director General of the National Identity Registration Division of the EC Secretariat, said that the BCC violated the terms of the agreement. BCC did not pay the applicable fees or charges as per the agreement on time. Therefore, the BCC agreement with the EC has been cancelled.
