The 48th founding anniversary of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal was celebrated with enthusiasm in Bhandaria, Pirojpur.

On the occasion, a colourful rally set off from in front of Thana Park in the upazila at 11:00 am on Wednesday (October 28). The rally paraded through the town’s main roads before ending in a gathering in front of the Bhandaria Upazila BNP’s main office.

Mohammad Shamim Hawlader, former member secretary of the Upazila Jubo Dal, addressed the gathering.

In his speech, Shamim Hawlader said that Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal would play a leading role in supporting the current government in eliminating anarchy from the country, serving as a strong force for Tarique Rahman and the BNP.

He also expressed hope that, under the leadership of Bhandaria Upazila Jubo Dal, leaders and activists at the union and ward levels would remain united against drugs, terrorism and extortion, and hand over criminals to the law enforcement authorities.

Among others present were Mohammad Monir Hossain Akon, general secretary of Bhandaria Upazila BNP; Abdul Mannan Hawlader, convener of the municipal BNP; Mohammad Delwar Hossain Biplob, joint general secretary of the upazila BNP; Abul Kalam Azad Molad Jamaddar, organisational secretary; and Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Munshi, convener of the municipal Jubo Dal, along with leaders from various levels.

A large number of Jubo Dal leaders, activists and supporters from the upazila, municipality and various unions took part in the rally and gathering.

Following the gathering, tree plantation and fish release programmes were held.
