The preliminary registration for the 2027
Hajj will begin on July 27 and continue until September
24, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs. All intending
pilgrims must complete their preliminary registration within this period.
In line with the roadmap announced by Saudi
Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, registration will be carried out through
the e-Hajj system. Pilgrims will later be required to complete
their final registration by paying the remaining amount under the selected Hajj
package.
A Tk 350,000 deposit is
required for preliminary registration under both the government and private
schemes. However, applicants must first complete pre-registration
by depositing Tk 30,000. Those who complete preliminary
registration must pay the remaining package amount and finalize their
registration by December 10.
Under the government scheme, pilgrims can
register by creating an account on the e-Hajj portal (hajj.gov.bd).
Registration services will also be available through Union Digital Centers,
divisional and district offices of the Islamic Foundation, district and upazila
model mosques, the Baitul Mukarram office, and the Dhaka Hajj Office.
Applicants under the government scheme must
deposit the registration fee through a payment voucher at any branch of Sonali
Bank. Those registering through private agencies must deposit the
required amount into the designated bank account of their respective Hajj
agency.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has
announced that individuals under the age of 15 will not be
eligible to perform Hajj. People suffering from serious heart, lung, liver, or
kidney diseases, neurological or mental disorders, dementia, those undergoing
chemotherapy or radiotherapy for cancer, and individuals with active infectious
diseases such as tuberculosis or hemorrhagic fever will also be ineligible.
In addition, women in the final two months of
pregnancy or those with high-risk pregnancies will not be issued the required
medical fitness certificate for Hajj.
During the preliminary registration process,
applicants will be required to select their training and vaccination district,
Hajj category, and preferred package. A passport valid until at least December
31, 2027, is also mandatory.
