The Bangladesh Police Headquarters has issued
a nationwide alert and instructed all units to strengthen security at key
installations amid fears of potential sabotage.
According to police sources, the move follows
intelligence reports indicating communication between a member of a banned extremist group and two
dismissed personnel from a security force. Authorities believe their activities
could pose a threat to national security.
The alert warns of possible attack risks targeting sensitive locations, including the
Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, law enforcement facilities, places of worship,
entertainment venues, and other crowded public areas. probable threats may involve explosive devices, firearms, or
sharp weapons. armory facilities of
various forces have also been identified as potential targets.
In response, relevant units have been
directed to intensify surveillance, enhance protective measures, and take legal
action against suspected individuals
where necessary.
Although police officials declined to comment publicly, multiple sources said the order is part of preventive measures based on recent intelligence, aimed at countering any potential threats before they materialize.
