China is focusing on deepening relations between the two countries after the political upheaval in Bangladesh on August 5 due to the student-people's uprising. Beijing is interested in the highest-level visit in the continuation of organizing the first bilateral meeting with the interim government. Therefore, China wants to take Professor Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the interim government, to Beijing next March to mark the five-decade anniversary of the relations between the two countries.
According to diplomatic sources, China has already invited Professor Muhammad Yunus to attend the Bao Forum for Asia (BFA) conference to be held in Beijing on March 27 and 28. Leaders of various countries, industrialists, business leaders and academics participate in this forum of private and non-profit organizations on important issues in Asia and the world.
