Raiyan Bani is one of
Bangladesh’s emerging and promising young amateur boxers. Since the latter part
of 2023 up to the present period, he has gained remarkable recognition in both
domestic and professional–amateur boxing circles in Bangladesh. Primarily
competing as an amateur boxer in the welterweight division, he has represented
Bangladesh successfully on international stages.
In addition, he earned
recognition as one of Bangladesh’s most discussed boxers by becoming the
first-ever AFBPIL Champion under AF Boxing Promotion (AFBPIL – AF Boxing Promotion).
He continues to compete regularly in both international and domestic
competitions representing the country. One of Raiyan Bani’s most notable
achievements is becoming the inaugural champion of AFBPIL. He has also
delivered impressive performances in different editions of the JB Boxing
Championship. His bilateral bouts against Nepal’s strong fighter Bikash Rana at
events such as the JB Boxing Championship and Gen Z Fight Night attracted
considerable attention.
Raiyan also
represented Bangladesh in international events including the Muay Thai
tournament held in Aftabnagar, Dhaka, contributing to the country’s growing
combat sports reputation. The talented young boxer successfully won an Amateur
Title at X-360 Fight Night. He also participated in JB Boxing Championship-3,
organized by AF Boxing Promotion, where his exciting bout against boxer Shahed
received widespread appreciation through match highlights.
Due to his boxing
style and dynamic approach inside the ring, Raiyan Bani has become highly popular
among the younger generation in Bangladesh. His discipline, passion, and
dedication have established him as one of the country’s rising boxing talents.
Through professional boxing, he aims to raise Bangladesh’s flag on the global
stage.
On 29 August 2025, at
X-360 Fight Night 5, held at the International Convention City Bashundhara
(ICCB), Dhaka, Raiyan Bani won the AF Boxing Promotion International Limited
Amateur Title Belt by defeating Indian boxer Aditya Hooda. This victory brought
him major recognition in the local boxing community.
In May 2026, during JB
Boxing Championship Season 8, Ryan defeated Indian competitor Puneet Lamba in a
difficult three-round contest and earned the distinction of becoming the first
BPBA Amateur World Champion.
Raiyan Bani is not
only a boxer but also a strong supporter of the growth of professional boxing
in Bangladesh. He is considered one of the youngest investors in Bangladesh’s
professional boxing sector. Through his involvement with JB Trading and AF
Boxing Promotion, he continues contributing to the organization of
international boxing tournaments in the country.
He is also a close
friend and training partner of Hasan Sikdar, one of Bangladesh’s leading
professional boxers and the WFC Asian Continental Super Lightweight Champion,
training together at the same boxing club.
When asked why he
chose boxing despite so many other sports being available, Ryan Bani said:
“I have had a strong
attraction to boxing since childhood. Watching world-famous boxers on television
inspired me to dream of becoming a boxer like them. With that dream, I entered
boxing and continue working hard to build a strong position for myself in the
sport.”
When asked about his
future plans and his role as a young entrepreneur promoting Bangladeshi boxing
internationally, Raiyan Bani responded: “You are right. Through JB
Trading, I am personally trying to take boxing to the international stage. I am
doing my best to represent Bangladesh globally. Bringing something positive for
the country is my main goal. Please keep me in your prayers so I can move
forward according to my plans.”
He further added: “To
expand boxing on a wider scale, the government should pay special attention to
this sector. If stronger support is provided, young people will become more
encouraged. I would like to draw the attention of the Honorable Prime Minister,
Mr. Tarique Rahman, and say: We want to achieve something meaningful in boxing
and bring honor to the country. For that, state support is essential. With
proper patronage, we believe we can take boxing much further, InshaAllah.”
